This C63020, Nickel Aluminum Bronze is a martensitic, heat-treated copper alloy and the strongest in the Nickel Aluminum Bronze family. In some cases, this alloy can be a substitute for Beryllium Copper or other high nickel alloys, due to its exceptional properties. Its’ very high mechanical properties and hardness, with good ductility and toughness, make it ideal for applications involving very heavy loads, extreme abrasive wear, corrosion service, friction, deformation and high temperatures.

This C95510 Aluminum nickel bronze alloy that combines high strength, ductility and good abrasion resistance under severe loading conditions. Higher and more consistent mechanical properties – higher yield strength and ductility minimums on product over 1.0 in and typical mechanical property values of 20 – 30% above specification minimums. It has improved service life – enhanced corrosion resistance and fatigue life due to the alloy dispersion and refined, “wrought-like” microstructure. C95510 is commonly used in demanding aerospace applications, including bushings, spherical and rod end bearings, rub pads, and wear strips. This material is also used for applications in the oil and gas industry.

Oilite is a bronze or iron alloy impregnated with an oil lubricant commonly used in bearing applications. Oilite is formed using powder metallurgy so that tiny pores are present in the metal. The pores are then vacuum impregnated with an oil to improve the materials bearing ability. The material holds approximately 20% oil by volume. The most common lubricant is SAE 30 oil.
