Al-Be Master Alloy special-alloy is mainly used in the Magnesium manufacturing process. By adding Al-Be to the liquid Magnesium melt it allows low saturated gas quantities such as Oxygen and Hydrogen.

MP159 is an alloy of the Multiphase family of alloys possessing the unique combination of ultra-high strength, ductility and corrosion resistance. Through work strengthening and aging, MP159 alloy exhibits ultimate tensile strength levels in excess of 265,000 psi while maintaining reduction of area values greater than 30%. Excellent strength and ductility are also evident at elevated temperatures up to 1100 – 1200 °F. Additionally, the alloy displays exceptional corrosion resistance and resistance to crevice and stress corrosion in various hostile environments. MP159 alloy is produced by vacuum induction melting followed by VAC-ARC remelting (VIM-VAR) to provide optimum control of chemistry and preferred ingot solidification.

ToughMet 3 in the cast and spinodally hardened (CX) condition exhibits tensile strength up to 120 ksi and hardness up to HRC 34 in a Copper – 15% Nickel – 8% Tin alloy with excellent machinability.
