This product showcases our capabilities in redesigning an existing product while cutting costs, shortening timelines and upgrading the product. In the past, the product was manufactured with packaging technology – meaning bending metal and processing it, including welding and inserting hardware. In its current form, each item is produced with one part, allowing for reduced manufacturing costs, reduced lead times, and increased impermeability across all corners, allowing for 68IP impermeability in the final product. The product became so solid that the client requested to add rods for holding installations. The current product includes extrusion, CNC machining, helicoil insertion, and an array of functional finishes.
This project is a forced flow heat sink, installed on a heat-fan. This project came about to answer a client’s request for a heat sink with a large quantity of elements able to maximize cooling capabilities. The intention was to centre the heat emitted in one area only, while being restricted in product size. This product didn’t allow for common length heat sinks, so we redesigned a unique diagonal structure. The additional unique element in this project is in the size of the heat sinks: each one had a thickness of 1 mm, while the space between them was below 4 mm. This product showcases extrusion made with the accuracy of a few hundreds, an extremely accurate CNC machining, and the assembly of an air inlet with welding. The challenge of the product also came across in the welding process, as the thickness of the material is only 1 mm. The end of the air inlet connects to a fan that pumps the heat emitted from the product and extracts it in a controlled manner.
This unique and imaginative product is the creation of one of our clients. The client requested a round product with a symmetrical center with a docking option. One part of the product is used as a weight, and can be processed to reach tight tolerances despite its unique shape. BTI designed the shape and the product’s measurement to meet the exact client’s demand for the final product. In addition, we created supporting installation for suitable and effective processing, to guarantee reproducibility between each part and batch.
