A training day for the 6th grade classes from Avihail elementary school in Emek Hefer
On Friday, December 21st , 2018, about 80 sixth grade students from the Avihail Elementry School in Emek Hefer attended our company.
It all started 4 years ago with the initiative of a girl named Noam Gordon, the daughter of our warehouse manager who recruited dad Dubi on a study tour of our company to learn about recycling and metals according to the curriculum taught in sciences. Since then students tours became a tradition.
Our warehouse, production and operating yard became a learning centers and were divided into four stations:
In the operating courtyard, the students went through the subject of recycling.
In the hall there was a station where a video was screened on the production of the raw material - aluminum.
A station in which special types of metals are introduced, such as Aluminum,Titanium, Tungsten and more.
A station in which the uses of the different metals and profiles were demonstrated.
The tour was very successful, the students were curious and showed a great deal of knowledge about recycling and concepts related to metals (specific gravity, density of materials, alloys etc.). At the end of the visit, the children received a personal gift - a metal-profile souvenir from the visit.
